I am going Fishing
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat; but that night they caught nothing. Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, for the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”
This Passage come John 21 offers great lessons:
A Leader's decisions and mistakes has a profound influence on others, Peter returned back to hunting fish instead of men and others decided to Join him too.
Peter denied Jesus three times, possibly to heal from his actions he wanted to return to his previous occupation of fishing, after toiling he caught nothing and Jesus intervened , this same incident repeated after the Resurrection, they caught nothing and Jesus in His love directed them and they made a good catch.
Jesus overlook the weaknesses of the Apostles, he didn't querry or criticize their actions, he told them: "Come and dine" , he allowed Peter to affirm his love thrice.
It takes a man who Loves to recognize. John the beloved was so close to Jesus, he was the only one who remained at the foot of the Cross, this affection made him easily know it was the Lord.
As we journey in Life, let our affection and attraction be on the Lord so we can always recognize and know Him always.
