WORK ...A gift to man

How many of us like Monday mornings? Very few I guess, you might ask, what if the person has a nice job, well don’t  forget  the work routine may douse the initial zeal to continue the work. Well, the better we begin to love and desire work, the better for us. It is important to note that I advocate for break and rest to keep the revive the body and also for good employment policies and good remuneration for employees. Everyone's work is valuable and should not be underrated. In this covid era, we say that in the healthcare team, that the janitoral staff such as cleaners are very vital.

Looking at the current economic crises due to covid-19 pandemic, reports have it that unemployment is on the rise, as we know that some business had to cut the number of staff since the income level drastically reduced.

If we have a work, we should see ourselves as privileged, this is because we are fulfilling a very good mandate from God, if we look at the creation of man from the very beginning it was revealed that the Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden as its gardener, to tend for it and care for it.  This was a duty assigned to man, a work!

Wherever we find ourselves God has given us a duty to make it a better place, at a time like this when the world is facing a serious health crises, we may attribute it to ourselves, for not taking up the responsibility to tend and care for the earth. The climate is polluted, the environment was really endangered by our actions, some animals even seem to go on extinction, the very life we were meant to protect.

Every good government should aim at creating an environment and making policies that enhance the lives of its citizens and provides a good condition for work to thrive.

We have seen that the major drive of a country’s economy is the private sector, and as such policies should be made to support entrepreneurs whose very actions provides a  very large opportunity for human labour to be utilized efficiently.

We can see that crime rates increases when the youthful exuberance and energy of a society is not channelled properly, probably due to lack of employment and bad governance.

Everyone has a duty to play, we have to make sure that we keep advocating for a society with good governance and policies to make working conditions favourable for growth and development.

So if you have a work, do your best at it, make the best out of every opportunity offered, and for those who don’t have a job or have lost one, or those facing challenges in their business, please don’t give up. Keep hope alive. There is beauty and opportunities in challenges, trust the process, learn from them and keep moving on. The world awaits your success story, so don’t give in to pressures, discouragements or disappointments, don’t give up your goals and beautiful vision, rather give it all you got, because you are strong and can overcome it all.

So then, “work to make it work!” Cheers!
