NEW NORMAL

 Traveling recently to the capital of the state where I domicile in made me appreciate the comfort covid-19 has brought about in public transportation.

Previously, we traveled with two passengers at the front seat, which is meant for one person only, then 4 passengers at the back seat. This arrangement was highly uncomfortable as passengers struggle during the journey.

Today the pandemic has created room for decorum, although the transportation fare is doubled the previous price which will be very difficult for people who shuttle within that axis most times.

There will be need to balance such events by moderation of the prices, which I believe will be effective if the government can look into the current price of PMS and ensure some policies that will be helpful to the common man.

There is now a lot of online meetings and conferences going on, innovations in logistics and deliveries have sporadically increased.

However, the online meetings and conferences is a great development, imagine people spending lot of time and money traveling for conferences which they can easily attend and benefit greatly from the comfort of their homes.

There is now an adjustment in how work is done, people can now work from the comfort of their homes without shuttling to the offices.

Indeed, we should see the positive developments the pandemic has brought and we should start adjusting to this as it will soon become the new normal.

It is time for business and organizations to start reviewing how to streamline their operations to suit into the new trends.

Government should start addressing the issue of technology deficit in the country especially in the educational institutions.

We should also internalize the healthy attitudes in our daily lives, such as proper hand washing and hygienic environments.

We should draw lessons from this pandemic,so that we can come out wiser and stronger.
